Work With COMPIO
Innovation and executive coaching are COMPIO's
keystones
The meta-structure of our work is a classic model for active
learning. The resources and expertise infusing our adaptation of
this model to your needs is what distinguishes COMPIO's approach.
As we partner with you, our work frequently includes:

The critical link between you and COMPIO is the fit between
your challenges and our approaches. We believe strongly in
offering what we do best, and will check to ensure your needs
meet our strengths. We will work with you to
- Clarify the most important outcomes to accomplish together.
Learning experiences are focused on specific individual or group
needs.
|
- Design process and resources for achieving your outcomes. Our
program design has included elements as traditional as
data-collection, feedback and metrics; and as eclectic as improv,
horseback riding, and interactive sculpting.
- Document the strategy we agree upon; elicit the commitment of
key players.
Inquiry and Assessment
We select several assessments and feedback processes to prompt
a diverse range of learning opportunities. These include both
research-based tools we are certified to administer, and
proprietary approaches developed in response to specific types of
client needs. Assessments are used solely for developmental
purposes. Considering the results of many experiences and tools
enables you to identify the themes running across these vantage
points. During the inquiry and assessment phase, you often
- Develop a more sophisticated understanding of how your
leadership style impacts workplace effectiveness.
- Identify strengths that fuel your success, and problem areas
that may impede the use of these strengths.
- Compare your perceptions with those of others.
- Look beyond surface symptoms to find root causes.
- Begin to consider alternative ways of viewing and approaching
your work. Positive changes often begin immediately as you
assimilate this work.
Strategy Development
COMPIO provides experiences and resources that help you, and
other important stakeholders, explore and define more effective
approaches. This phase includes:
|
|

|
- Supporting your choice of one or two critical goals. Defining
the anticipated impacts of meeting, or not meeting, these
goals.
- Generating and considering a diverse range of potential
strategies: considering new ways to apply strengths, learning
from the successes of others, experimenting with new ways of
working, highlighting strategies that can bring the most positive
and far-reaching return on their investment of effort.
- Selecting and building the business case for your development
strategies.
- Sharing your action plan with an important stakeholder/s;
eliciting support and defining how to align this work with
organizational initiatives.
|
Supported Implementation
Building your ongoing success as you implement your solutions,
build capability and foster support for these changes may
entail
- Providing targeted coaching as you implement your plan; to
guide skill acquisition, change behavior and reinforce new
behaviors.
- Facilitating the use of updated feedback; to assess the
impact of your efforts, engage others' support and define helpful
refinements.
- Encouraging ongoing experimentation and application of new
learning.
Extended Learning
Conducting a final assessment of your impact on the original
targeted outcomes, identifying the most valuable lessons learned
and defining a strategy for maintaining and extending your
gains.
